I tried this network card with BeOS 5.04 (or 1.0) with no luck. I then replaced the card with a 3C905B and BeOS worked no worries.

I had the exact same problem with a new 3c905c-tx card - card is detected fine, but does not actually talk to the network. I replaced it with my older 3c905b card and all is happy. Dunno what 3com did to the new cards all of a sudden, but it has some glitches with Windows 2000 as well.

Does not work at all. Tested with boned R5.0.3 Based on size and look of 3Com 905C-TX-M and 3Com 905CX-TX-M they are totally different products. Interesting fact is that BeOS tells same card id for both models. No wonder if that driver does not work
