Works great. Drivers come with BONE 7a. I found a download of BONE by searching for it on google.
There doesn't seem to be any docs on how to turn on/off WEP or select a network, but the defaults worked. rating: 8 |

What? Can you give some details on how you got this working. I have a Orinoco Silver that doesn't work at all with BONE or DANO or 5.03. The PowerLight or the Activity lights on the card don't turn on at all when the card in inserted. What version of the Orinoco Firmware is your card running? What type of access point are you connecting to? rating: |

Mine works great as well. I don't care much about the WEP but after install everything is going honky-dory. Gonna go test it with a few APs this weekend.
I have a Dell True Mobile card, which is a rebranded Orinoco Gold.
I give it a 9 because you have to tweak things to run it, as with any PCMCIA card in BeOS, and you have to have BONE going to get it. rating: 9 |

Are these drivers specific for Orinoco or are they 802.11b generic? rating: |

The problem with this car is that while BONE 7A has the driver for this and other wireless cards, Be left out the card descriptor in the PCMCIA section. Dano/Exp is just the opposite - it has the card descriptors, but no drivers! So you can add BONE 7A to BeOS 5.03 by getting it via BeShare (don't forget to get the printer update too), then you have to find someone who has the card descriptors from DANO/Exp to add or guess by using "cardctl ident". No WEP though, which is a bummer. Hee's the changes to the file in home/config/settings/kernel/drivers/pcmcia ...
card { # Lucent WaveLAN 802.11b
manfid 0x0156 0x0002
bind wavelan
}
...You might have to modify the manfid for the Silver card.
