This Fast Ethernet Controller support 10/100 at full/half duplex. Intel has up-to-date driver support a long list of OS. It also comes with the PROSet utility which allow access to advanced network adminitrative options, diagnostic, power saver..etc. A lot of companies use these controller in their servers until they decide to upgrade or go bankrupt ;) You can find the used NIC very cheap at place like eBay (usually around $5).
