The only problem I've experienced is that with the 2940U and a SCSI cd-rom, you have to mount audio cd's from the command line with mountvolume.

Got a 2940U (see 2940U in the list for comments) and a 2940UW Dual. This is a Dual controller chip. It's like having 2 2940UW on a single card. 7 devices inside, 7 devices externaly. This makes it possible to NOT slow down SCSI bus when an old SCSI device is attached externally and Ultra SCSI CD-ROM's are used inside. Got a 68 pin Wide external connector (needs adapter to 50 pins with 18 pins terminated!!!! if you want to use 50 pins external devices), 68 pins (Wide) internal conector + 50 pins internal connector. Awesome kick ass 2940UW card, highly recomended if you don't mind paying expensive external adapter ....
