This modem has worked great for me once I got the correct PPP string for my ISP (AT&F1 S32=2 is what my ISP likes to see, to disable K56Flex and enable V.90). These PPP strings might work for you: AT&F&C1&D2 AT+MS=56 (disables V90, enables K56Flex) The fax/voice goodies don't work, but I don't need 'em.

The modem would not work with my os/2 string. So I used a BeOS Hayes 33.6 generic string and got a slow connection. I then did a series of truncations and got faster connections as I went. My string is now AT&F&D2&C1 and 115k connections are stable. My download of 5.0.3 was all done at 5000+B/s. The system is set to use serial 4 as I use comm 4 under os/2.
