Yes, it works completly natively with the BeOS 5 drivers. No, its not on Be's compatablity list. Works fantastic with all burning programs i've found in BeOS and Windows. I've yet to burn a single coaster that wasn't my fault. (twice I've tried to burn scratched CD's in Windows, and I once tried to burn in Be w/ Soundplay playing mp3's and trying to use BeZilla)
I would highly recommend this drive. It can now be found on pricewatch.com for less than $70. rating: 10 |

I get buffer underruns with this drive in BeOS (and in NT for that matter). There's no substitute for having buckets of RAM when burning CDs.
Some newer drives - Acer, f'rinstance - have fixed this in hardware, but the LG is still a bargain.
