This Network Card (while not the best), works well in Windows, BeOS, Linux, and BSD. It is cheap and supports 10Base-T and 100Base-T

No problems whatsoever. Detects by the chipset, not the card itself, but the card works fine. Decent quality - good value for money at any rate.

While early version of the card works, Revision 2 and later won't :( I know cause I've tested some to find that the BeOS driver didn't recognise them.

No problems at all with this card. It's 10/100, autodetect and worked first time with my ADSL modem.

With regard to later versions of this card, the DFE-530TX+ uses the Realtek 8139 chipset rather than the VIA chipset. I don't know if the DFE-530TX changed chipsets, but I thought I'd mention it.

Beware of this card :-) According to http://etherboot.sourceforge.net/db/nics.php?show=tech_data&vendor=D-Link, there are 3 possible chipset for it (Via 3043, one Realtek, Via 3065). This driver is for the first VIA (1106/3043).

Versions A1 and A2 of this card have full native support on all BeOS versions tested here, including 4.5.2, 5.0.3, 5.1d0 and the BeIA v2.0 devkit. As seen above, I rated this card 10/10.

From A3 onwards will require a different driver. I have two rev B1 cards but have not tested them as yet. However, they would not work with the standard driver included with Win2k.

Rating 8 - good, but some confusion for the unaware. Stupid product identification from Dlink.

Hello! I have a question about my network card. My network card is D-Link530tx Rev.B I ever found a driver for 530tx,but it not work on my BeOS. I think it may be for 530tx Rev.A only .So i want to know if anybody ever install their 530tx on Beo s? How to do it? Can you teach me or give me the driver? Th- ank you!!
