16x ATAPI (IDE) DVD-ROM drive with headphone jack, volume dial, and eject button. URL is not for this exact model, but it's the closest match I could still find -- I think it's just an update of this one. |

Never had a problem with this drive. Very fast. Rips audio CDs straight to MP3 in approx. 5min on my system, and works like a charm for watching DVDs with vlc. rating: 10 |

One problem that i have found when using the DVD-116 is that it acts weird when you have an IDE slave on the same ide port that the DVD-116 is using ( set as the master ).
To cure any weird problems, remove all other IDE devices apart from the DVD-116 and set that as slave on the second IDE port.
Your BeOS partition should be on a hard disk ( if IDE ) on the first of the two IDE ports.
Apart from that, the device works supurbly and with vlc you are able to watch your favourite DVD movies within BeOS.
