Unfortunately, this controller is basically a piece of [censored by myself]. Avoid it. IMHO it works *slower* than UDMA/33 controller built in Intel's BX chipset. I flashed the BIOS, it didn't go any better. Buy Promise controller, it is way better. rating: 4 |

If you are using HDDs bigger than 20GB your system may
freeze when transfering large amount of data.
It seems the HPT366 does not support HDD greater than 20GB
"flawless".
In some cases the HDD itself freezes. This causes the OS to
freeze. rating: |
