The support for this card is flaky. Firstly, it cannot boot BeOS from a disk attached to it without pressing the F1 at bootup when the controller's bios prompts you. In this way I have been able to boot up and install BeOS onto a 40GB ata100 drive quite well (as pressing F1 enables the card to be identified as an ide instead of raid controller, which BeOS supports rudimentally). Secondly, the ata100 driver from bebits currently has support for this controller broken, and the author is working on the issue.
It should be supported in the future with the bug fixed in the ata100 driver.
EDIT: After much deliberation and testing, the latest IDE Replacement driver works with this controller, and I haven't experienced any problems thus so far. I can boot from it, don't have to press F1, use writembr, etc, etc.
