This is a V.90 modem, model 2949L and hooks up via serial cable (not included). Zoom now makes a V.92 model, but not sure if it is compatible with BeOS.

After nearly tearing my hair out trying to get the Actiontec PCI call waiting modem, and even the identical Zoom 56K dualmode internal ISA (jumpered) model, I broke down and spent the extra money for an external model. I created a new custom modem in DUN, using an init string of ATM1, and it worked right off the bat!
