Attributes Used in the TuneTracker System


The table below lists all the attributes available for you to use with the TuneTracker System. They give you the power to do just about any kind of programming you can dream up, so become familiar with them!

All your audio file attributes are viewable right in their folder window. If you don't see a column for the attribute you need, it's likely because you didn't place your files into a copy of the Copyable Music Folder we provided in your TuneTracker installation. By clicking on the Attributes pulldown menu at the top of the folder window, you should be able to put checkmarks next to the attributes you need to view or edit.


Attribute Purpose Used By, Edited By, or Viewed With
Artist Identifies song by its Artist name and makes it findable and displayable by that attribute. TuneTracker, TuneStacker, Lightning, Army Knife, TunePrepper, TuneBridge
Album Identifies song by its Album name and makes it findable and displayable by that attribute. TuneTracker, TuneStacker, Lightning, Army Knife, TunePrepper, TuneBridge
Title Identifies song by its Title and makes it findable and displayable by that attribute. TuneTracker, TuneStacker, Lightning, Army Knife, TunePrepper, TuneBridge
Genre Identifies song by music style and makes it findable and displayable by that attribute. TuneTracker, TuneStacker, Lightning, Army Knife, TunePrepper, TuneBridge
Comment Identifies song by user-defined criteria and makes it findable and displayable by that attribute. TuneTracker, TuneStacker, Lightning, Army Knife, TunePrepper, TuneBridge
Name (Filename) Identifies song by its filename and makes it findable and displayable by that attribute. TuneTracker, TuneStacker, Lightning, Army Knife, TunePrepper, TuneBridge
Year Identifies song by the year of its release and makes it findable and displayable by that attribute. TuneStacker, Lightning, Army Knife, TunePrepper, TuneBridge
Tempo Identifies song by its Tempo and makes it findable and displayable by that attribute. TuneStacker, Lightning, TunePrepper, TuneBridge
Rating Identifies song by a user-defined Rating (single letter or number) and makes it findable by that attribute. TuneStacker, Army Knife, TuneBridge
Info Provides any information you wish to include about the song, retrievable by the DJ using the Get Info feature in Command Center. Displays the info in scrolling textbox. TuneTracker, Army Knife, TuneBridge
Gender Identifies song by the Gender of the performer, though can be used to identify more than Gender. Some stations use Male, Female, Group, and Instrumental as categories. TuneStacker, Army Knife, TuneBridge
BPM (Beats Per Minute) Identifies song by its beats-per-minute and makes it findable by that attribute. TuneStacker, TuneBridge
Expires Identifies the expiration time and date, to assure TuneTracker doesn't play the track after it has expired. TuneTracker, TuneBridge
Last Played Records the last time the track was played by TuneTracker TuneTracker, TuneBridge
OnRamp Identifies how much of the intro of a song may be safely spoken over by a voice-track during TuneTracker playback. TuneTracker, TuneBridge
OffRamp Identifies how much of the end of a song may be safely spoken over by a voice-track during TuneTracker playback. TuneTracker, TuneBridge
SegueIn Identifies how much of the beginning of a song can safely be overlapped with the SegueOut of the previous song. TuneTracker, TuneBridge
SegueOut Identifies how much of the end of a song can safely be overlapped with the SegueIn of the next song. TuneTracker, TuneBridge
TrimStart Declares how much of the beginning of an audio file should be eliminated during playback due to silence or other problems TuneTracker, TuneBridge
TrimEnd Declares how much of the end of an audio file should be eliminated during playback due to silence or other problems TuneTracker, TuneBridge
Cue Forces an audio file's ending to overlap with the next file by a specified amount of time (in seconds). Overrides the SegueIn attribute of the next song. TuneTracker, TuneBridge
Composer Identifies the Composer of a song. Non-searchable. Option to include the information in output logs, for reporting to BMI, etc. TuneTracker, TuneBridge
Record Company Identifies the record company that released the song. Non-searchable. Option to include the information in output logs, for reporting to BMI, etc. TuneTracker, TuneBridge
Volume Boost Uses any number number between -10 and +10 to indicate how much to adjust the volume of the audio file. -10 is completely silent. +10 is double the volume. TuneTracker, TuneBridge
