Using the Crossfader
Command Center comes with a manual crossfader that makes it easy to do smooth, custom transitions from the end of one song to the start of the next during a live show.

Important Things to Know
Don't Stop Halfway!

If you drag your mouse all-the-way to the far right end, the previous song will "eject" when you release the mouse button. This is the normal way to use the crossfader.
You do have the option to release before you have dragged all the way across too, which will result in both songs playing on the air in a partially-crossfaded state.

To use the crossfader, click-and-hold (with touchscreens, touch-and-hold) on the start button of the song you wish to transition-to. After about one second, the following two things will happen together:
- The new song will start playing, with its volume turned all the way down.
- The semi-transparent crossfader (shown above) will appear on the line of the event you just started
While continuing to hold down your mouse or finger, begin moving the crossfader slider to the right. The old song will fade down as the new song fades up. When your slider reaches the far right end of the crossfader bar, the old song will be completely turned down and the new song will be at full normal volume.
If you move the slider all the way to the right before releasing your mouse button or finger, the old song will be ejected when you release. If you release your mouse button or finger before you have completed the crossfade, the old song will not be ejected, and will continue playing at the new volume you set it to while using the crossfader. This lets you do a partial crossfade and then continue to manually adjust the volume of each cut independently afterward, using the separate volume controls available on each track.
