Using the "Get Info" Feature
Command Center's "Get Info" feature lets you turn every member of your staff into an "instant musicologist." Just fill-in the "Info" attribute of your songs with as much text as you like. Then, in Command Center, when the announcer right-clicks on the song and chooses "Get song info," the text you added to the song will be displayed for them to read, in the scrolling text box.
Adding Info Text to your Songs
- Open Army Knife, and click on the selector button, choosing the "Info" option
- Drop one or more songs into Army Knife. Even a folderful at a time is fine
- Select the songs you wish to edit. Multiple songs at once is perfectly ok, and sometimes desirable, if the songs have something in common
- Type-in, or paste-in, the text you wish to associate with the song(s)
- Click Apply
Consider that you can be as specific as you want with your Info, limiting it to just one Title, or applying it to the contents of an entire album, all the works by a particular artist or composer, or any other larger, more general category of music, depending which songs you have loaded into Army Knife when you click Apply. The text can be interesting trivia, facts about the artist's life, even dated information about the artist or group's next album, or a schedule of their upcoming concert events.
When you do a Get Info in Command Center (click-hold or touch-hold on an event to display its information in the scrolling textbox), you'll see whatever custom information you've added to the songs, plus some standard data including Artist, Album, Title, Length, even the precise date and time when the song was last played.
