Color Coding
In Command Center, every upcoming event in your program log is labeled clearly based on the information available about the event, but when you're in a live environment, it's nice to have that extra little visual clue about what's coming up, without having to read every line. So we provide color coding to make it clearer, at-a-glance.
To make it easy to tell instantly what sorts of audio events are coming up in your program log, Command Center assigns colored squares to them, based on the folders they're stored in. By default, Command Center is set up to use the folders found inside the pre-configured Station folder, however there's also a color assigned to "/" (all other folders,) so if your audio files are placed in some other location, they are automatically assigned that color.
You can easily re-assign the default folders to ones of your choosing.
- Right-click in Command Center's program log list area and choose "Configure color coding"
- In the pop-up window, click on a line you want to change, based on the color you wish to use
- Click browse to find the folder you want to point to. Click once to select the folder's icon, and choose "Open"
- Click apply
Once you have done so, the color on that line will be assigned to the folder you have specified, and to all subfolders found inside it.
And, you can use the same color for more than one folder location.
- Click on a line and assign it to a folder as described above
- Click in one of the color boxes beneath the list to assign the color you want associated with that folder, regardless of whether that color is already being used on another line for another folder.
Command Center also color-codes events that aren't audio files, such as switcher events, stream events, etc. Those are additional "special system colors" and cannot be changed.
