| SETUP - Preparing Master Logs |
Using "Make My Day"
After creating your format clock(s), you would normally need to cut-and-paste them together to create a full day's master log, then go in and edit the "# Hour" statements at the beginning of each hour. It's a quick task, but with this utility it becomes a non-task.
Included in the TuneTracker Pro package is a utility that will do the whole thing for you. Give it a single hourly format clock file and it'll turn it into a full day's master log and auto-number the # Hour statements for you.
HOW TO USE "MAKE MY DAY"
- Create a single format clock hour file and label its "# Hour" statement as follows:
# Hour 0
- Save it to your hard drive using whatever filename you like.
- Right-click on the icon of your newly-created file, select "Open with" and choose the utility, "MakeMyDay."
A new file is instantly created in the same folder as the format clock file. The new file will have the same filename as the original but with the file extension ".day". So if your original format clock file is called "format1," the newly-created file will be called "format1.day".
For stations that use the same format clock hour every hour all day long, you're done and ready to generate program logs in TuneStacker.
If your programming day includes more than one kind of format clock hour, just build your master log from the most common format clock hour, then double-click on the master log file (and any unique format clocks you want to copy from) to open it in a word processor and use copy/paste to replace the hours that need replacing.
In addition to right-clicking on your format clock hour file and selecting MakeMyDay, you can accomplish the same thing by dragging and dropping the file onto the MakeMyDay program icon.
