Intro & Features - Overview and Uses
QuickStart Guide
While we strongly suggest you take time to learn more about the system than what is covered here, we also realize you're anxious to make something happen, so here's the fast-track to firing up TuneTracker.
- Start TuneTracker by double-clicking its icon on your desktop. SoundPlay will also start up, automatically, which is normal. If TuneTracker complains of a missing keyfile, install it, using the instructions in the e-mail we sent you, which had a keyfile attached to it, and afterwards, close and relaunch TuneTracker.
- If one doesn't already exist, drag a program log into the "Program Log Queue" pane. In TuneTracker Basic, it is the upper window pane. In Command Center, it is the left window pane. You can use the sample program log we include with our system. You'll find it inside a Program Logs folder, beneath a Logs folder, inside the Station folder on your desktop. If you don't see it there, open your boot drive, then apps, then TuneTracker System, then Templates, and it is also provided at that location.
- Double-click on the program log file name in the "Program Log Queue" pane. After a few seconds, TuneTracker will load the list into the "Active Program Log" pane, and advance itself to its best guess as to where it should start in your Program Log. An entry in the list will turn blue (TuneTracker Basic) or gold (TuneTracker Command Center), indicating it is now selected as "next-to-play."
- Click the Auto button to turn "Auto On"
- Click the "Start" button
TuneTracker will leap into action, sending the "next-to-play" audio cut to SoundPlay for playback. Because you have turned Auto "on," it will continue on, playing cut after cut until it comes to the end of your playlist or program log. If the "Repeat" x-box is selected, the program log or playlist will loop forever.
- To interrupt the flow of automation, just click the Auto button again to turn automation "off", and things will come to a halt after the currently-playing cut is concluded.
Now, while TuneTracker cranks out some initial tunes for you, we urge you continue to your exploration of this User's Guide to become more familiar with how it all works. You've only scratched the surface of what the TuneTracker System can do!
