SETUP - SoundPlay

SoundPlay Introduction

The award-winning SoundPlay audio player is an important element of the TuneTracker™ System. Among all the audio players available for BeOS, indeed many would argue, among all the audio players in the world, SoundPlay is the most capable. Its advanced features make it a natural as the "audio engine" for the TuneTracker™ System. It can do smooth transitions, can play many audio formats, has advanced plug-in capabilities, professional-quality visualization monitoring, network streaming support, and smooth level controls.

Our TuneTracker™ automation program controls SoundPlay remotely, though there are times when TuneTracker Basic™ users will use SoundPlay's visible, per-channel volume controls to fade music while you speak, etc., if you are doing live programming using TuneTracker Basic. In SoundPlay Preferences, you can change the volume control to a vertical slider, which has the most familiar feel to those who have worked with mixers and control boards.

DON'T UPDATE IT!

Some releases of SoundPlay distributed with TuneTracker have contained an option to update when new versions are available. Please NEVER do it. The version of SoundPlay distributed with your TuneTracker System™ is the proper one for the distribution you received. Upgrading may "break" your system and cause it to fail to function properly.

PROBLEMS?
