TUNETRACKER SYSTEM IN ACTION - TuneTracker Command Center
Traffic Integration (Command Center Only)
TuneTracker Command Center gives commercial radio stations (and any other stations wishing to use third-party traffic software), the ability to directly import traffic schedules into their TuneTracker program logs. All that is required is that you add a SpotID code to the "tunetracker:spotid" attribute of each commercials/announcement file you want TuneTracker to play, corresponding to the ID your traffic software expects us to find, place markers in your master log showing where you want those commercials to be inserted, and tell TuneStacker where your traffic log file is located. A built-in Traffic Import Configuration feature in TuneStacker lets you configure the program to import traffic logs from most commercial traffic software companies without ever having to approach the companies for a special import filter.
AN OVERVIEW
Please read the section below for a quick overview of how the traffic interface works, then click on each of the links for detailed instructions.Much of what is required of you must be done only once, when you set things up. After that, most of the time all you need to do to generate a program log with imported commercial traffic is to just specify the location of your traffic log and click "Generate!"
- You put simple break markers at locations in your format clocks/master logs where you want commercials to fall, like this:
break 03:47 (indicating that any ads marked as playing at 3:47 a.m. should be placed here)
- Using the "tunetracker:spotid" attribute we've added to the TuneTracker System, you mark your commercials (audio files) with their SpotIDs as called-for in your traffic program. In your traffic software, the IDs might be referred to as CartIDs or Cart Numbers.
- In TuneStacker, use Traffic Import Configuration to tell TuneStacker where to look in your traffic logs for the SpotID code, Description, Length, and other fields of data.
- Then, just indicate where TuneStacker needs to look to find the traffic log you generated in your third-party software.
"AS-RUN" LOGGING
As your broadcast day progresses, TuneTracker notes any ads that played and logs them to an "As-Run" log, along with the time they ran and how long each was on the air. The As-Run log is in a simple, comma-delimited format for easy posting back into your traffic software, for billing and proof-of-performance purposes. As with all other TuneTracker logging functions, you can turn As-Run logging on and off in TuneTracker Preferences under the "Logging" tab.
