Description and Features
LET'S GET SERIOUS!
Beneath TuneTracker's Basic's deceptively simple interface are the features and horsepower necessary to do serious radio. Before we get into the specifics of how to do each task, let's run down some of the features found in TuneTracker Basic.
FEATURES
- Silence-sensor to keep you broadcasting if a live audio source such as a network feed fails
- Accepts an unlimited number of program logs and remembers the list through "auto save" feature
- Option to loop through its list of program logs forever, for "Infinite Walkaway"
- Completely mouse-driven, drag-n-drop interface, with available keyboard shortcuts
- Full Live-assist capabilities for doing DJ shows
- Program logs can be edited and re-loaded into TuneTracker, "on-the-fly"
- Full reboot recovery relaunches TuneTracker, finds where you left-off in your programming, and continues from that point, following a reboot due to power loss, etc.
- Point-and-click selection of what's next-to-play, directly from the playlist/program log
- Elapsed-time and left-to-play counters
- Ramp timer counts down the seconds that remain before singing starts, for use while live DJ'ing
- Time-sensitive automation events such as fades, exact-time starts, system "pause," and live network joins
- Time-corrects, to skip unneeded fill songs and keep programming on-track
- Generates complete output log file of all songs & commercials played, and exactly when they played
- Generates current_song file containing title and artist, other options, for uploading to the web
- Generates next_song file containing title and artist, other options, for uploading to the web
- Generates report log which lists all functions performed by automation
- Simple toggle-on, toggle-off control of automation and live programming
- User-selectable view panels showing list of program logs, the contents of the currently-running program log, and listing of what has already played
- Automated control of live input, for broadcasting live events such as network news reports, or to open a channel to a studio at an exact time, for locally-originating programming such as a morning show
- User-configurable colors and appearance
- Use with a microphone, or connect any single external audio source such as a mixer, satellite network feed, or the output of a studio elsewhere in your facility. An external mixer/control board opens up a world of external audio source possibilities
