TUNETRACKER SYSTEM IN ACTION - TUNETRACKER
The Station Folder
Distributed with both TuneTracker Basic and TuneTracker Command Center is a handy "Station" folder that is prearranged to suit the needs of most radio stations. It contains sub folders into which you can place your music, commercials, PSAs, promos, jingles, newscasts, weather reports, etc. The folders' attribute columns have been chosen to be appropriate for each type of folder, based on the kind of content you're likely to put into it.
The Station folder is physically located at the "root" of your boot drive, and a link to it has been placed on your desktop. You can work in the desktop version of it and all the changes you make there will also happen in the actual folder. It's just quicker and easier to get at the one on your desktop, so we recommend you make your changes right there.
COPYABLE FOLDERS (found inside your Station folder)
As you add new artists or albums to your collection, you will probably want to make copies of the provided "Copyable Music Folder" since it already has all its attribute columns properly labeled and arranged. To do otherwise will require you to manually set up each folder, which is a lot of wasted time and energy.
Similarly, if you want to add more folders to contain announcements, commercials, etc., you'll benefit from making copies of the provided "Copyable Commercial Folder" since that one is set up with the proper attribute columns for commercials and other announcements.
To duplicate a folder, just right-click on it and choose "Duplicate." A copy of the folder will appear, with its name displayed in black with white letters. Immediately start typing and change the folder's name to whatever you like, then just hit Enter.
