Some Magic HotkeysSpacebar to Start (any version of TuneTracker)
QUICKLY FINDING/REDISPLAYING THE CURRENT PART OF THE LOG
You'll love this one when you're doing live assist dj'ing, or engineering a ball game. Spacebar functions just like the Start button on the TuneTracker control panel. With Auto turned to "off," you can start the next selection by hitting the spacebar. This saves having to scramble for the mouse each time the play-by-play announcer calls for "station identification!"
You can also use the spacebar to "panic" out of an item you wish to immediately stop playing. This might occur if you accidentally start playing the wrong item and want to zap it fast. Just hit the spacebar, and the currently playing item will be replaced by the item that is scheduled as next-to-play.
L for Live
In Command Center, the letter "L" on your keyboard toggles Live on and off.
1 for Memos
In Command Center, the number "1" on your keyboard displays your program log's memo lines.
2 for Queue
In Command Center, the number "2" on your keyboard opens up your program log queue. Just remember, it's "2 for queue! 2 for queue!"
3 to Expand/Collapse
In Command Center, the number "3" on your keyboard collapses all of the hours in your program log, making it easier to scroll to a specific location for editing
4 for Full View
In Command Center, the number "4" on your keyboard expands your logs to full view and jumps the display to show the part of the log currently being used by TuneTracker.
F for Favorites Folder
In Command Center, hitting the letter "F" on your keyboard displays whichever folder you've specified as your favorite. This is super-handy as a way to quickly display the folder containing your program logs, so they can easily be dragged into the program log queue in TuneTracker.
TuneTracker Basic gives you fast access to the entire day's Program Log, but after scrolling down, you might find it challenging scrolling back to the exact position of the currently-playing song. No problem! Just turn Auto-On to Auto-Off, then back to Auto-On. Two quick clicks, and your currently-playing song will be front and center!
MOUSING AROUND IN YOUR PROGRAM LOG
In TuneTracker Command Center you can either turn Auto off and back on again, or hit the number "4" on your keyboard. When you click on a line of your Program Log, it is marked in pale grey. What you may not be aware of is that if you click on a line and hold with your mouse button, and then drag your mouse to the top or bottom of the display window, just off the edge, you can do a nice, controlled scroll.
GRABBING OUTPUT LOG CLIPPING FILESTry opening the Output Log and dragging across some of the text to mark it, then click and hold on the selected text and drag it to the desktop. It creates an instant clipping file of just the text you've selected, should you need a quick snippet of it for any reason.
