AutoVision Training

AutoVision is TuneTracker Systems' built-in training video library, accessible directly from within AutoCast. Training and tutorial videos play right in the Logo panel at the top of AutoCast's right column — no browser, no separate app, no interruption to your broadcast.

How to Access AutoVision

The AutoVision button is always the first button in the Button Pad grid — it's permanent and always visible, regardless of how many other buttons you have or what filters you've applied. Click it to open the AutoVision video catalog in the Message Pad.

The catalog appears as a list of clickable links — each one a video title. Click any title to start playing that video in the Logo panel.

Where Videos Play

AutoVision videos play in the Logo panel at the top of the right column — the same panel that normally shows your station logo. The logo is temporarily replaced by the video player for the duration of the video. When the video ends (or you close it), the station logo returns.

Critically, AutoVision audio plays on your preview output device — not your main program output. This means you can watch a training video while the station runs normally on air. Your audience hears nothing; you hear the video in your headphones or monitor.

⚠️

AutoVision requires a Preview Output device to be configured in Settings → System → Preview Output Device. Without one, clicking an AutoVision link will post a message asking you to set one up first. This is the same preview device used for music auditioning — configure it once and both features work.

Video Controls

While a video is playing in the Logo panel:

  • Click the video to pause or resume playback
  • Long-press the video (hold for half a second) to zoom it to double size for easier viewing
  • Click the ✕ button (lower-left corner of the video) to close the player and return to the station logo

A thin progress bar runs along the bottom edge of the video, showing how far through the video you are.

Zoomed View

Long-pressing the video expands it to double size, growing leftward from the right edge of the screen. This gives you a much larger viewing area for videos with detailed UI walkthroughs or text that's hard to read at the default size. Long-press again (or click outside the zoomed area) to return to the normal size.

How AutoVision Stays Current

AutoCast fetches the AutoVision video catalog from TuneTracker Systems' servers 30 seconds after launch, and refreshes it hourly. This means new videos — tutorials for new features, updated workflows, tips and tricks — appear automatically without any software update. When TuneTracker adds new content to AutoVision, it's available the next time AutoCast refreshes the catalog.

If AutoCast can't reach the AutoVision servers (no internet connection, network issue), the catalog from the last successful fetch is used. AutoVision content is informational only — it doesn't affect your on-air broadcast in any way.

💡

AutoVision is a great resource for training new staff. Walk them through the interface, then have them watch a few AutoVision videos on their own. They can do it while the station runs — no need to take anyone off the air to train someone new.
