Compares what's on the server to what you've already downloaded and grabs only the new stuff. Ideal for FTP servers that accumulate files over time — music libraries, sound effect collections, content archives.
| Field | What to put here |
|---|---|
| Protocol | FTP, HTTP, or HTTPS. |
| Address | The server address without the protocol prefix. |
| Directory | The folder to watch for new files. Leave blank for root. |
| Username | Your login name, if required. |
| Password | Your password, if required. |
| Port | Leave blank for defaults. |
| Allow Insecure SSL | Turn on if the server has a certificate macOS doesn't trust. |
Works best with FTP servers that provide a complete directory listing. For HTTP servers without listings, Fetch Files by Name may be a better choice.
