The Image Schedule lets you change the background image on your RTMP video stream automatically based on the time of day. You can have one image for morning drive, a different one for middays, another for evenings, and so on — without any manual intervention while you’re broadcasting.
SignalCaster checks the current time at the start of each video frame and compares it against the schedule you’ve defined. When the time falls within a scheduled slot, the background image switches to the image assigned to that slot. Outside of any defined slots, the default image is used.
Open the Overlay Editor (Settings › Appearance › Edit Schedule… or the Images tab in the Overlay Editor window). You’ll see a list of schedule rows and controls to add more.
The default image is displayed whenever the current time doesn’t fall within any scheduled slot. Click Browse… next to the Default Image field and choose any JPEG or PNG. This is your fallback — make sure you have one set.
The Hour Offset field shifts all scheduled times by a fixed number of hours. If your server clock is in a different timezone from your broadcast schedule, use this to compensate without re-entering every individual slot time.
Click + Add Row to add a new time slot. Each row has the following fields:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Day | Which day of the week this slot applies to, or Every Day to apply daily. |
| Start Hour | Hour when this slot begins, in 24-hour format. Midnight is 0, noon is 12. |
| Start Min | Minute within the start hour. Use 0 for on the hour. |
| End Hour | Hour when this slot ends. |
| End Min | Minute within the end hour. |
| Image | The image file to display during this slot. Click Browse… to choose. |
Images are loaded and scaled to 1280×720 when the schedule switches. For smoothest operation, pre-scale your images to 1280×720 before adding them to the schedule — this avoids a brief resize on each switch.
Overlapping time slots are resolved by whichever row appears first in the list. If you have two rows that cover the same time window, the one higher up in the list wins. Remove duplicates or adjust times to avoid ambiguity.
Click the Remove button on any row to delete it from the schedule. Changes save automatically.
