Keyboard Shortcuts

VoiceTracker is designed to be operated entirely from the keyboard once you've selected a voicetrack slot. Four keys handle the entire recording workflow.

KeyActionWhen
SpacePlay / StopStarts preview or playback from the playhead position. Press again to stop. During recording, stops everything.
RRecordBegins recording. If a preview is playing, the mic turns on seamlessly — the songs keep playing. If nothing is playing, starts fresh from the playhead.
EscDiscardThrows away the current take and resets the recording deck. You can immediately try again.
Save & NextSaves the voicetrack to Dropbox and advances to the next VT slot. If it was the last slot in the hour, automatically loads the next hour that has voicetracks and selects its first slot. The finished file includes transition timing in its filename so AutoCast knows exactly how to play it.
