The History tab shows a record of every backup TuneVault has run — when it happened, which destination it went to, how many files were copied, and whether anything went wrong.
Click the History tab to see a table of past backups, newest first. Each row shows:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Date | When the backup ran. |
| Destination | Which backup destination was used (by name). |
| Type | How the backup was triggered — manual, auto-sync, or scheduled. |
| Files | How many files were copied or updated, and how many were skipped (already current). |
| Errors | Shows "Warning" in maroon if any files failed. A dash means no errors. |
| Details | Opens a detail view with the full breakdown. |
Use the "Show history for:" dropdown at the top to filter the list by destination, or choose "All Destinations" to see everything.
Click the Details button on any history row to open a detail tab. This tab shows the complete picture of that backup:
The detail tab appears next to the other tabs with a small X button to close it. Clicking the X returns you to the History tab.
If a backup completed with errors, the word "Warning" appears in maroon in the detail view, followed by the specific problem and the file it affected. This is the place to look when the status bar says "See backup log for details."
Click Clear History at the bottom of the History tab to remove all history entries. TuneVault will ask for confirmation first. Clearing history does not delete your backup files or folders — it only removes the record of past backups.
Backup history is stored in your Station folder at Misc/System/TuneVault/history.json. This means your history is itself backed up as part of your station — and if you move your Station folder to a new machine, your backup history comes along for the ride.
