TuneTracker™ QuickTip

A quick way to reset BeOS networking

For customers running older BeOS versions of TuneTracker System, here's a quick tip that can be used to quickly reset your networking. It can come in handy if the network were ever to start to "gum up" after long periods of use, accumulation of "FTP daemons," etc.

Open a Terminal. You can get to it quickly by doing CTRL-ALT-D (not delete). Type in the following and then hit Enter:

/boot/system/boot/Netscript

If you want to be able to access the trick even more quickly, you can use a folder window to browse to the location of the file above, and create a link to it on your Desktop. If you're clever with Telnet, you can "back door" it in too.
