Preserving Attributes by Using FTP

Scenario:  If you produce a new weather report and bring a copy of it over on a disk and drop it into your BeOS machine, directly replacing the previous file with the same file attributes. It will still play alright, but if you ever needed to do a search for it in TuneStacker by file attributes other than filename, TuneStacker will not find it.

Solution:  Transfer via FTP! If you record your updated weather report on another computer, use an FTP client to send your file to the BeOS machine, overwriting the previous file without touching its attributes.
