Question Marks in Your Program Logs???

If you see odd characters, such as upside-down question marks, at the ends of lines in your master logs or program logs, it is very likely the result of having edited them in a Windows text editor or word processor. The solution is very simple. Run them through ConverttoLF, which strips the extra, unnecessary Windows "carriage return" characters from the ends of the lines. Just grab this file, unzip it, and install it...

Then, right-click on the icon of an offending log, and under Add-ons, choose Convert to LF. Problem solved!

In future, try this free text editor under Windows, which lets you save your files in "Unix" format, and you won't have any more end-of-line curiosities.
