What the Red Lines in Lightning Mean
If you have used Lightning to edit program logs, you might have noticed that, while most lines are black text, some of the lines are red. In normal circumstances, a red line just means it represents a non-audio event such as an automation command or remark line. But it can also serve as a "red flag" for missing files!
If an audio file is scheduled on the program log, but Lightning cannot find the file, it will display that line in red. That's a clear indication the file has been moved or deleted since the program log was created, or the program log was created using a third party music selector that has inaccurate data about the location and/or names of your files. So, when in doubt, Lightning can be used very effectively as a way to "proof" your program logs prior to broadcast, to assure everything that's scheduled to play will be findable when the moment of truth arrives!
