Searching Multiple Output Logs

While the CSacker program provided with TuneTracker is a big time-saver when generating reports, there's another technique that may also sometimes come in handy, which lets you search across more than one file at a time!


  1. The left and right arrow buttons let you flip through pages and pages of MyShow buttons, all configured exactly as you want them.
  2. Download and install this "Tracker Grep" program: http://www.bebits.com/app/1306

  4. Create a new "OutputLogs" folder inside your system's home folder

  6. In TuneTracker Preferences, change the default logging path for output logs to: /boot/home/OutputLogs/OutputLog_

  8. Click "Save and Use" to close TuneTracker Preferences. From now on, doing a search across multiple output logs is a snap! 1. Right-click on your new OutputLogs folder 2. Under "Add-ons" (at the bottom of the options list) choose "Tracker Grep." 3. When Tracker Grep launches, type in the criteria you want, and click "Search."

    Your results will be displayed in a window. To open any a particular output log file and view its entire contents, just double-click on the entry you're interested-in.
