TuneTracker QuickTip
Searching Multiple Output Logs
While the CSacker program provided with TuneTracker is a big time-saver when generating reports, there's another technique that may also sometimes come in handy, which lets you search across more than one file at a time!
- Download and install this "Tracker Grep" program:
http://www.bebits.com/app/1306
- Create a new "OutputLogs" folder inside your system's home folder
- In TuneTracker Preferences, change the default logging path for output logs to:
/boot/home/OutputLogs/OutputLog_
- Click "Save and Use" to close TuneTracker Preferences.
From now on, doing a search across multiple output logs is a snap!
1. Right-click on your new OutputLogs folder
2. Under "Add-ons" (at the bottom of the options list) choose "Tracker Grep."
3. When Tracker Grep launches, type in the criteria you want, and click "Search."
Your results will be displayed in a window. To open any a particular output log file and view its entire contents, just double-click on the entry you're interested-in.
